Ayurveda’s key to lasting health. – Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term, made up of the words “ayur” and veda.” “Ayur” means life (comprises of the mind, body, senses and the soul) and “Veda” means knowledge or science. Thus, the term “Ayurveda” means ‘the knowledge of life’ or ‘the science of life’. Widely regarded as the oldest form of healthcare in the world, Ayurveda is an intricate medical system that originated in India a few thousand years ago.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Cochin

Meet Classic Holidays representative upon arrival in Cochin and drive towards hotel to check-in.

Check into Brunton Boatyard – An amalgamation of the architectural splendour of Fort Kochi’s colonial past. Brunton Boatyard at Fort Kochi is inspired by colonial history. A former shipyard in British times, this historical plot of land that once housed a famous boatyard now has another landmark, the Brunton Boatyard.

Your first visit with the in-house experienced physician to start your Ayurveda Journey.  

By understanding the doshas and their vikritis (dosha imbalances that cause disease), an Ayurveda massage is performed using warm medicated oil suited for the specific imbalance, thereby ensuring harmony of mind and body. (Vehicle for transfer only)

Day 2: Cochin

Early morning proceed for your Ayurveda treatment – Ayurveda commonly states that the universe is made up of five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether. These elements are represented in humans ‘doshas’ or body humors namely Vata, Pitta and Kapha. When any of these doshas accumulate in the body beyond the desirable limit, the body loses its balance.

Post lunch enjoy city tour covering Mattanchery Palace- gifted to the king of Cochin, by Portuguese in 1555, about 500-year-old Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, local spices market followed by colorful performing art – Kathakali Dance. Later in the evening, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (Vehicle for sightseeing only)

Day 3: Drive to Kumarakom (50 Kms / 1.5 Hours)

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Kumarakom – a charming emerald peninsula jutting into the picturesque Vembanad Lake dotted with innumerable traditional country rafts, boats and canoes.

Check into Coconut Lagoon – located in a sheltered and enchanting cove in Kumarakom, this resort reflects the diversity and magnificence of Vemband Lake.

Enjoy the serenity of the resort and proceed for your Ayurveda Treatment – Every individual has a distinct balance, and our health and well- being depend on finding the right balance of the three doshas. Ayurveda specifies lifestyle and nutritional guidelines to help individuals reduce excess doshas.

Day 4: Kumarakom

Proceed for Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary visit.

Day 5: Drive to Marari Beach Resort (30 Kms / 45 Minutes)

This day after breakfast drive to Marari Beach.

After breakfast, – Unwind and Relax the Marari Way – relax and continue your treatment. The sea-side village experience set on 30 acres with coconut groves, lily ponds, fruit trees and a large organic farm. (Vehicle for transfer only)

Day 6: Marari

This day relax and enjoy the property and the beach / continue with your treatment.
